Data Security Inc HPM-4E

The Data Security Inc HPM-4E Degausser meets NSA and CESG requirements for purging classified information on Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded (LMR) and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded (PMR) Hard Disk Media with a coercivity up to 5000 Oersteds and Magnetic Tape Media with coercivities up to 2800 Oersteds. The HPM-4E accepts Hard Drives 1.65 inches (41mm) high by 4.6 inches (117mm) wide by 7 inches (178mm) deep including Floppy Disks, Zip Disks, Jazz Disks and Hard Disk Drives without removing the Disk Platters, plus Tape Media including DLT, LTO, 8mm and DDS.

The HPM-4E is an ideal emergency destruction device as it is manually operated (without electricity) and has a cycle time of only a few seconds. The HPM-4E generates one of the strongest magnetic fields of any degausser manufactured ensuring a longer useful life span. The HPM-4E combines a set of two unique and very powerful magnet designs with the speed of an industrial hand crank. By generating fields in multiple directions, it is possibly your best defence against current Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded (LMR) and future Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded (PMR) hard disk media.

The HPM-4E degausser’s listing in the NSA EPL-Degausser guarantees you that your data is gone so you never have to worry your data will end up in the wrong hands. It is very simple to operate as you simply insert the media, rotate the handle then remove the media.
